How this tool works
What you'll see
Search for any UK limited company to see their full financial history extracted from iXBRL accounts filed at Companies House — turnover, profit, net worth, headcount, and cash, plotted year by year.
What are iXBRL accounts?
Since 2011, UK companies must file accounts in iXBRL (inline XBRL) format — machine-readable HTML that embeds financial figures as tagged data. We parse these directly from Companies House bulk downloads, giving you structured financial data going back to 2008.
Why might data be missing?
Micro-entity accounts (the smallest companies) file abbreviated filings that may only contain a balance sheet with no P&L. Companies filing dormant accounts, partnerships, and some overseas entities may have no data at all. There is also a known gap in our data for accounts filed between early 2018 and April 2025.
Who is this for?
Finance teams, investors, procurement departments, accountants, and anyone who wants to understand a company's financial history before entering a contract, extending credit, or making an investment decision.
