How the Industry Benchmarker works
What it shows
Select any of the 20 UK industry sectors and a company size band to see median financial metrics (turnover, profit, employees, net worth, and cash) calculated across thousands of filed accounts.
Where the data comes from
All figures are derived from iXBRL-formatted annual accounts submitted to Companies House, covering millions of UK businesses. Medians use the 50th percentile: half of companies are above, half below.
Size bands
- Micro: 1–9 employees
- Small: 10–49 employees
- Medium: 50–249 employees
- Large: 250+ employees
